A little love in Hawaii. Beautiful colors, places and food. Swimming, laying in the sun, boating, reading, eating, etc. etc. *sigh*. A tropical getaway is the best way to end the summer. 

Jelly Comeback

Jellies are back and thriving! I bought a pair of clear ones and am totally loving them. I got these ones from jbeans.com which is an Australian brand. They come in all sorts of clear and matte colors. Other places are making them too, even AmericanApparel has similar ones with a slight heel. 

Birthday Tooth

My birthday was yesterday! One of my most unique gifts to date was this "Sweet Tooth" necklace from Verameat. They have lots of interesting metal jewelry (mermaids, birds, spines and everything in between). I paired it with a vintage sparkly top, a trench and some jeans. Every birthday needs a little sparkle!

We Got More Bounce

We got more bounce in California than all y'all combined. As the lyrics go there is something about California. We had a lovely time lounging about, shopping and of course, eating our way around LA. 

An Anniversary Celebration

Thirty years of marriage! I absolutely can't imagine!  Fortunately for us, our parents' anniversary gave my sister and I the opportunity to get a little dressed up (not to mention a free night of fine dining on the rents).  A warm summer night and a lovely occasion to celebrate leant itself to pull out some fun and playful attire.  

An always-sultry Anna wore her hair in a high, slightly tousled bun.  Her bright red nails add a pop of color!

Anna covered up in a Levi jean jacket with a few broaches to add some edge.

Jess opted to keep her hair soft and clean, pairing her simple dress with a beaded, statement necklace.

Anna wore a striped Anthropologie dress with Jeffrey Campbell boots.  Jessie wore a simple, black sheath dress with Jeffrey Campbell "Woodies."

Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister!

June Remix 2013

This post is maybe a little late...a few months late...but I loved the style at the SAM Remix so much that I just had to post some pictures.  For my entire article on the fashion at this fabulous Seattle party go  Vanguard Seattle.  Since this was a party celebrating style,  I decided to go with a wild look mixing patterns and my clunky Tory Burch booties for a funky vibe--slick hair and fresh makeup kept the look clean.
